Corrosion resistant steel

As we all know, corrosion resistant steel is a kind of stainless steel, and its corrosion
resistance is better than stainless steel. It is a steel that resists erosion in certain highly corrosive media. At the current stage of technological development, corrosion resistant steel is one of the most important structural materials. In recent years, the development of corrosion-resistant steel has been closely linked to important sectors of the national economy, including the chemical industry, aircraft manufacturing, atomic power, cryogenic technology, and space development.

At present, the key R&D and application directions of corrosion-resistant steel in China are corrosion resistant steel in the aerospace industry, corrosion resistant steel plate for marine oil tanks, high corrosion resistant weathering steel for railway trains, steel for oil and gas transmission pipes and steel for oil well pipes. Wan Gang, Minister of Science and Technology of China, said that the steel industry is one of the important pillar industries in China.
The transformation and upgrading of the steel industry should be promoted. These include the development of new materials such as steel structures, special steels, and alloy steels.
The development and application of corrosion-resistant steel is the need to build an ecological civilized society and major engineering construction in China. From the perspective of national resource conservation, building an ecological civil society, or from the perspective of downstream industry demand. The development and application of corrosion resistant steels are of great significance. Specifically, the current resources and environmental pressures facing China's economic development are growing. Steel as a basic material is not enough to meet the performance requirements. It also has the corresponding corrosion resistance, weather resistance and wears resistance according to the conditions of use and application environment.  Extending the service life of steel can meet the development direction of high efficiency and greenness advocated by the state. Although from the industry point of view, steel as a recyclable material, the shorter the cycle, the greater the steel demand market, the more favorable to the industry. But from a social point of view, the less steel consumption, the better the
efficiency. If the steel is cycled fast, and even corrosion becomes useless rust, it will be a great waste of social resources. Therefore, from the social point of view, to improve the service life of steel. Although some products may increase certain manufacturing costs. However, it can save resources and energy throughout the life cycle of steel, and it will make a great contribution to society.

On the other hand, the development and application of corrosion-resistant steel can meet the needs of major engineering construction in China. At present, the construction of a series of projects such as petroleum pipelines and marine engineering in China has put forward a demand for corrosion-resistant steel. With the deepening of development, the exploitation of oil and gas resources is becoming more and more difficult, and oil and gas wells with various harsh corrosion conditions appear in large numbers. Although stainless steel and high alloy steel can meet the demand, the cost is high. The development and production of corrosion-resistant low-alloy steels to meet the needs of high-end oil and gas industry and marine engineering steel is the direction that domestic steel companies need to pay attention to and research.
