The carbon mass fraction of the steel is as high as 1.5%, the mass fraction of chromium is as high as 11.5%, and the hardness after heat treatment is up to 60HRC, but the relative ductility, toughness and rust resistance are weak, and the surface of the steel is also difficult to be mirror-polished. With the development of high-precision, high-efficiency and multi-variety cold stamping products, mold steels are required to have good wear resistance and toughness. Compared with Cr12MoV steel, the steel adds Mo and V to the chemical composition, which changes the foundry organization of the steel, improves the morphology of the vegetable body, and has better toughness and wear resistance than Cr12MoV steel, which improves the use of the mold. life. Since the steel has higher yield point and plastic deformation resistance than Cr12MoV steel, its forging property and thermoplastic formability are slightly worse than Cr12MoV steel.

3) Since the V and Mo contents in D2 steel are higher than that of Cr12MoV steel, it has better comprehensive performance, and the traditional Cr12MoV steel will be gradually replaced.
